119 - Brooklyn Bridge Park
On my birthday I chased two toddlers around the Prospect Park Zoo and took them on a ride at Jane Carousel.
117 - Autumn leaves and still life
My three year old wanted to do photo work. So we set up a little still life for him to practice while his sister napped.
112 - Signs of autumn's approach
There is no denying that summer is on the down-swing. My son has noticed the changing and falling leaves and started collecting them already. Autumn will be here before we know it.
110 - Brooklyn Botanic Garden to study bees
Every couple of weeks we make our way to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. It is such a beautiful place to be and the kids adore going there. They have been learning about bees and so we always stop to watch them work.

107 - View from afar or take the leap
I am so glad we took that leap to leave everything behind and move here three years ago. What an adventure we have had in this magical city.
106 - August light sprinkles and botanics
I love flowers and plants and trees and everything botanical. I also love the sprinkle effect of the August evening light.

105 - Love locks and Friday evening on the Brooklyn Bridge
I don't really get why people feel compelled to put a lock on a public structure. I am all for making a big statement to a loved one and sharing travel adventure traditions but this one just doesn't speak to me. One mid-August Friday evening I headed to the Brooklyn Bridge leaving my husband to put the kids to bed. I knew that it would be crazy busy with tourist and the typical evening commuting rush so went with an open mind of what might catch my eye. The traffic just let that to be expected busy energy. A sunset on the Brooklyn Bridge is just magic.

102 - Under the Manhattan Bridge
The Manhattan Bridge is stunning, particularly in the twilight hours. What is about bridges that captures our eye? Is it the engineering or simply the lines they draw to the horizon?

101 - August evenings in Brooklyn Bridge Park
Having the Brooklyn Bridge Park so close has been a nice benefit to our new home. We love going there to hang out and the late summer golden hour is the best here. This gorgeous urban nature space with my camera in my hand makes for my happy place.

100 - Upper West Side Walk Up
Strolling the streets of the Upper West Side in the early morning is filled with the right mix of energy and quiet, for the city dweller this is a beautiful place to be.

99 - Sandboxes for days
Playing in the sand is almost meditative for my rambunctious little ones. They could play in a sandbox every single day. It is messy and we are all covered in sand and sweat as we head home but they are content.
98 - Overgrown city gardens
I get so much enjoyment from flowers and plants overgrowing their little city garden space. The burst of color is energizing.
